Shipping Orders and Adding Tracking Numbers

Once an order has been picked and packed, the final step is to mark it as shipped and optionally add a tracking number. This updates the order status, generates an invoice, and notifies the customer.

Marking an Order as Shipped

  1. Go to Orders in the sidebar.
  2. Open the order you want to ship.
  3. Click Ship Order.
  4. Optionally enter a Tracking Number and select the Carrier.
  5. Click Confirm Shipment.

The order status changes to Shipped and an invoice is automatically generated.

Adding a Tracking Number

You can add or update the tracking number at any time from the order detail page. The tracking number is included in the shipment notification email sent to the customer.

Supported Carriers

You can enter a tracking number for any carrier. Common carriers include:

Customer Notifications

When an order is marked as shipped, the customer receives an email with the order details. If a tracking number is provided, it is included in the email so the customer can track their delivery.
